To ensure the best fit, we recommend taking measurements from a well-fitting tailored garment you already own. Lay the piece flat on a hard surface and use a soft measuring tape for accuracy. If you don’t have one, a measuring app on your smartphone can be a useful alternative. For consistent results, avoid measuring while wearing the garment.

How to Measure Trousers

Waist
1. Lay the trousers flat on a table or hard surface, front side up.
2. Gently smooth out the waistband but do not stretch it.
3. Measure straight across the top edge of the waistband, from one side to the other.

1. Lay the trousers flat on a table or hard surface, with the front side facing up.
2. Make sure the waistband and crotch area are smooth and aligned.
3. Start your measurement at the seam just below the waistband, centered at the fly.
4. Measure straight down to the intersection where the front and back seams meet at the crotch.

2. Smooth out any wrinkles and make sure the fabric lies naturally.
3. Measure straight across the leg, from the outer edge of the thigh to the inner seam (where the front and back panels meet); about 2,5 cm (1″) below the crotch seam.

How to Measure Jackets

Chest
1. Lay a dress- or overshirt flat on a table or hard surface, front side facing up and fully buttoned.
2. Gently smooth out the fabric.
3. Measure straight across from one underarm seam to the other, just below the armholes.

2. Smooth out the fabric without stretching it.
3. Find the narrowest point of the jacket, usually a few centimeters (about 2–3 in) below the chest.
4. Measure straight across from one side seam to the other.

2. Gently straighten the fabric and the collar.
3. Start measuring at the seam where the collar attaches to the back of the jacket, not the top of the collar itself.
4. Measure straight down the center back, all the way to the bottom hem.

3. Measure from that point to the shoulder seam, then continue down the sleeve to the end of the cuff.
